Colombia's first sustainability driven cocteleria grows over 100 plant species for its own glasses, and the award shelf keeps agreeing.
Huerta Cocteleria Artesanal built Chapinero's most decorated bar on a premise most rooms only borrow: grow the ingredients yourself. The bar cultivates over 100 plant species in its own garden and bills itself as Colombia's first sustainability driven cocteleria.
The awards followed in volume. La Republica reported its win as best bar in Bogota at the Premios Cocktail, stacked on earlier wins in 2016, 2018, and 2019, plus Bar and Drinks' Best Bar of Colombia 2022.
Who would hate it? Drinkers who want a two minute pour. The builds here take their time, and the menu expects curiosity.
Plants run through the room the way bottles run through other bars, and the kitchen plates what Revista DC called the Colombian countryside on the table. The space holds conversation easily early, then tightens up as Chapinero's weekend crowd arrives. Ask for the bar seats to watch the garnish work.
Order from the signature list first; the garden ingredients meet local spirits and premium imports in builds the bar redesigns seasonally, per Una Adiccion Llamada Moda's menu review. Viche and aguardiente appear where other cities would default to gin. Trust the staff pairing suggestions; the kitchen runs the same farm to table line.
Bogota's cocktail crowd, sustainability minded diners, and visiting bartenders on pilgrimage. Weeknights stay conversational; Friday and Saturday push the room to capacity after 9pm.
