Pony Line

$$$$

The Four Seasons ground floor bar runs on polo club leather, a burger with a citywide reputation, and a cocktail list Food and Wine ranks among the world's best hotel bars.

Pony Line opened in 2013 on the ground floor of the Four Seasons at Posadas 1086, named for the string of ponies a polo player brings to a match. In April 2025, Food and Wine named it one of the ten best hotel bars in the world, the only South American room on the list.

The formula is unusually honest for a luxury hotel: leather, saddle stitching, and a burger program taken as seriously as the cocktail list. Goop's Recoleta guide files it as the city's most reliable high end night.

Who would hate it? Anyone hunting the underground. This is polished hospitality at hotel prices, and it does not pretend otherwise.

The room reads as a modern polo club: dark wood, saddle leather banquettes, and a long marble topped bar facing the lobby. Tables fill with hotel guests early, then Recoleta locals take the counter. On Wednesday and Saturday nights a DJ pushes the room from lounge to late session.

The list runs classic and contemporary cocktails around USD 15 at current rates, with artisanal Argentine beers alongside. OpenTable reviewers call the cocktails perfect and the dry aged beef burger the best in the city, and the guest shifts are real: Inés de los Santos and Gabriel Santana worked the bar in July 2025. Order a Negroni or the bartender's vermouth build, and do not skip the burger.

Expect hotel guests, Recoleta regulars, and an after office crowd that stays past midnight on DJ nights. Hours run Monday to Thursday 11am to 2am, Friday to 3am, Saturday 5pm to 3am, and Sunday 5pm to 1am.

The safest great night in Recoleta and the rare hotel bar with a world ranking to back the prices. Book a table on a DJ night, start with the burger, and let the classics list carry the rest.
