Billionaire is the upscale version of a Dubai late-night experience. Flavio Briatore's franchise has settled at Taj Exotica with a residency lineup of international DJs and a cocktail programme that is more capable than the room's reputation suggests.
The room is intentionally theatrical — gold leaf, mirrored ceilings, a circular DJ podium at the centre. The dress code is enforced firmly. Guests are a mix of Gulf nationals, regional tourists, and Dubai's see-and-be-seen finance crowd. The energy picks up after 11pm and the floor doesn't clear until close.
The cocktail list is shorter than what you'd find at a dedicated cocktail bar, but it is well made: signature serves built around premium spirits, accessible classics, and a strong champagne and prosecco programme. Tables come with bottle service minimums from AED 5,000 on weekends. Walk-in bar seats are available earlier in the evening if you want the room without the commitment.
Billionaire is not a destination for serious cocktail drinkers, and it isn't trying to be. It is a destination for a particular kind of Dubai night — high-energy, photographed, and unapologetic about its pricing. On its own terms, it is one of the most consistent celebration rooms in the city.
Best time to visit: Weeknights early evening for a quiet seat at the counter; weekends require reservations. The room is at its best between 8pm and 11pm.
