The Diplomat is a small Central cocktail room on Wo On Lane, run by John Nugent and a tight team. The bar's concept is built on diplomatic and consular history - drinks named after treaties, dispatches, and incidents from the long British diplomatic record in Asia. The aesthetic is restrained dark-wood club-room; the cocktails are mostly stirred and spirit-forward. The bar has been on Asia's 50 Best since the second year of operating.
