The Chandelier

$$$$

The Chandelier is Las Vegas's most architecturally spectacular bar — a three-level cocktail lounge suspended inside a 65-foot chandelier constructed from 2 million crystal beads at the heart of The Cosmopolitan. Level 1 is the loudest, with a DJ and bar crowds spilling from the casino floor. Level 2 is the sweet spot: quieter, better service, full cocktail menu. Level 1.5 is a whisper — a secret middle-floor bar-within-a-bar serving the signature Verbena cocktail, which contains a dehydrated Szechuan button (a flower that numbs your tongue and makes everything taste sweeter for the next 10 minutes). Order it.

The main cocktail menu is rotated seasonally by a serious bar team that has placed at Tales of the Cocktail multiple times. The classics are done correctly: the Negroni is cold-stirred, the Daiquiri is freshly juiced, the Old Fashioned uses a single large-format ice cube. In Las Vegas, this is rare enough to be remarkable.
