The white vaulted room at Via Santa Maria di Costantinopoli 53 works as gallery, cafe, and cocktail bar from 9:30am to 2am, every day of the week.

Intra Moenia across the piazza gets the postcards and the poetry presses. Nea gets the painters. Petit Fute files the place under bar and cafe, Tripadvisor files it under attractions, and both have a point.

The terrace spills toward the steps of Piazza Bellini, which is where the Centro Storico actually drinks. Cityseeker calls it a cozy art cafe; the description undersells the exhibitions and oversells the cozy.

White walls, vaulted ceilings, rotating exhibitions, and bookshelves where most bars keep their spirits display. The gallery program changes through the year, so the room never looks quite the same twice.

Inside stays calm even when the piazza outside does not. The terrace tables are the prize seats from April to October.

Conservatory students and Accademia di Belle Arti types by day, the gallery crowd at openings, and tourists drifting downhill from the Museo Archeologico in between.

The shift happens at aperitivo hour. From 7pm the terrace fills, and Tripadvisor reviewers note service slows once the piazza crowd arrives.

Metro Linea 1 stops at Dante and Museo, both about five minutes on foot. The bar sits just off the north corner of Piazza Bellini, by the old city walls.
