Vinitalia

Wine Bars $$

Oslo's deepest single-country Italian programme, with direct-from-producer allocations of Brovia and Gravner.

· Modern Vinitalia on Frognerveien is Oslo's reference Italian wine bar — opened in 2015 by Tuscan-born Stefano Bianchi who brings producer allocations directly from Tuscany, Piedmont and Friuli each spring. The list runs to over four hundred Italian-only references with serious vertical sets of Brovia Barolo, Soldera Brunello and a Friulian orange-wine section drawn from Gravner and Radikon.

The by-the-glass rotation is fifteen references with weekly turn, and the prices remain genuinely fair given the import structure. Ranks seventh because the single-country focus limits range but within Italy it is the most serious Northern European bar.
