BrewDog Perth

Craft Beer $$

Scotland's craft beer chain filled the old Gordon Street coffee roastery with 20 taps, a beer garden, a stage and an arcade room, and West Perth treats it like a second living room.

BrewDog opened its first Western Australia bar in January 2024 at 16 Gordon St, the former Gordon Street Garage coffee roastery, and kept the warehouse bones. Broadsheet covered the conversion when it landed, and the scale still surprises you on a first visit. Two bars, a beer garden, a dedicated arcade room and a stage share one footprint.

You come here for volume and choice rather than intimacy. If your idea of a beer bar is six stools and a chalkboard, the Northbridge small bars will fit you better.

The indoor room keeps the roastery's industrial shell, with long tables built for groups and screens set up for AFL, AFLW and cricket. The arcade games room sits off to the side and absorbs whoever lost interest in the footy.

The beer garden is the better seat from spring through autumn. Live music runs there every Friday from 5pm and every Sunday from 2pm, per the official schedule.

Office workers drift in from West Perth from knock off, families hold the garden tables early, and the screens pull a sports crowd on AFL weekends. The Urban List files it among Perth's best sports watching rooms for exactly that reason.

Monday and Tuesday run quieter and cheaper thanks to the burger and trivia deals. Saturday game days are the loudest slot on the calendar.
