Lums Wine Bar

Wine Bar Date Night $$$

Lums Wine Bar occupies a two storey 1920s heritage terrace at 433 Hay Street, Subiaco. The cellar runs past 100 bottles, with more than 30 wines poured by the glass on any night.

The Urban List covered the landing as a win for a suburb short on small bars. Broadsheet keeps it in its Subiaco bar guide.

The kitchen is Spanish: pintxos by the piece, tapas, and share banquets. The wine list is the point; the food keeps you in the chair.

Downstairs is a bar room with counter seats and tables under heritage ceilings; upstairs takes the spillover and the functions.

The official line is cosy neighbourhood bar, and for once the marketing undersells nothing. Forty seats feels like the honest count.

Subiaco locals at the counter midweek, date night tables from Thursday, and a long Friday lunch crowd that holds until evening.

Subiaco station sits four blocks north; walk down Rokeby Road and turn onto Hay Street.

Make it the quiet first stop of a night that ends louder in Northbridge, or keep it slow with our Perth date night guide.
