Bigorna Social Club hides behind a working barbershop on Rua de Alexandre Braga, two minutes from Bolhão metro, and asks you to walk past the gentlemen getting their shaves to reach the bar. Time Out Portugal introduced it in November 2024 as Porto's new hidden bar. The trick is old. The execution, a backlit bar, a visible wine cellar, a customized pool table, and about 30 seats, is unusually complete.
Bartender Lia Igreja runs seven signature cocktails at a flat EUR 10, which in Porto's speakeasy economy counts as honest pricing. Where Base sells its courtyard and The Royal Cocktail Club sells its classics, Bigorna sells theater: the No Smoking Inside arrives through a mist of palo santo. Order it once and decide for yourself whether smoke counts as a garnish.
After 8pm the lights drop and the volume climbs; Fridays and Saturdays add DJs until 10:30pm. With 30 seats, the room either has space or it very much does not.
The owners keep the street signage deliberately minimal; Observador reported they want passers by curious rather than informed. Inside, neon, sofas, and a DJ booth handle the evening shift as the barbershop winds down.
Evasões called it a secret world to start the night, and that is the correct slot for it: the first two drinks, not the last two. The Fri and Sat DJ sets, 7:30pm to 10:30pm, mark the room's peak.
It opened in November 2024, so the review base is thin and the five star TripAdvisor average comes from a handful of early converts. The room will earn or lose that number honestly.
