Brewerkz at Riverside Point is the granddaddy of Singapore craft beer. Founded in 1997 — before the term 'craft beer' had reached Asia — it has brewed continuously on-site for nearly three decades. The taproom seats 200, brews twelve house beers, and runs a kitchen capable of feeding the crowd.
The brewery itself is visible behind glass from the taproom floor. House beers rotate seasonally but a core lineup of six is always on tap: the Brewerkz IPA, the Brewerkz Pilsner, the Hopback Ale, the Steamy Lager, the Oatmeal Stout, and the seasonal special. The IPA is the bar's strongest call — citrus-forward, properly bitter, sessionable at 5.5%.
The kitchen does honest pub food at scale: wings, pizzas, a credible burger, salads. Pricing is mid-tier; happy hour from 3pm to 7pm makes the room one of the better value craft-beer destinations in the city. Live sport on the screens and a long open-air terrace overlooking the river.
Brewerkz is not the place for tiny-format specialty beers or rare imports. It is the place for honest, well-made, fresh-from-the-tank house beer in a room that can take a crowd. The Sunday roast is genuinely good. Bring a group.
Best time to visit: Weekday evenings before 9pm for the quieter version of the room; weekends after 9pm for the busier one. Reservations recommended where the bar accepts them.
