Kvarteret

Live Music $$

Styckmastargatan 10, Slakthusomradet, in the former meatpacking district south of Sodermalm. Kvarteret takes over the open ground between Slaktkyrkan and House 7. The nearest metro is Globen on the green line, a short walk from the gates.

Hours apply through the summer season. The site opens occasionally in winter for one-off events. Check listings before you travel out.

Kvarteret runs on club nights and ticketed events rather than table service. Buy ahead for headline bookings, dress for an outdoor floor, and plan a night that ends late. Most arrive after midnight.

Kvarteret is Stockholm's big outdoor summer club, set in the old Slakthusomradet meatpacking district south of Sodermalm. The venue spreads across roughly 2,500 square metres of open ground between Slaktkyrkan and House 7, and it holds more than 2,200 people when it fills. Visit Stockholm groups it with the city's headline warm-weather clubs alongside Tradgarden under Skanstull bridge.

The comparison to Tradgarden is the one locals reach for, and Nojesguiden makes it directly: same outdoor energy, but Kvarteret tips harder toward the dance floor. This is a place built for music and movement, not a sit-down cocktail spot. Several bars are scattered across the site so the queues spread out, and the programme runs to DJ sets and live bookings rather than a quiet drink.

Go knowing what it is. The draw is the scale, the open air, and a floor that runs until 3am on weekends. It trades polish for size. If you want a measured drink and a seat, this is the wrong address, and you should aim at a Sodermalm bar instead. If you want a proper Stockholm summer night out, it is one of the few rooms in the city that can hold the crowd.

Pair Kvarteret with the rest of the south-side club circuit. The clubs under Skanstull bridge at Under Bron in Stockholm run the same late hours, Debaser Medis in Stockholm covers live music a few minutes north, and the terrace at Mosebacke in Stockholm is the warm-up drink before the night turns.

Like the other big summer clubs, the format is simple pours from several bars across the site. Beer is the default order on a packed dance floor.
