Best-of list · Sports Guide
Eight ranked Leeds sports bars, from BOX with its 35 HD screens to the city-centre pubs that keep both Sky and TNT on for every weekend fixture.
The short answer
8 ranked rooms follow. How we picked is at the end of this guide.
Leeds is a football and a rugby league city, and a Test cricket city when the sun is out at Headingley. A real matchday bar in this city clears four things: enough screens that no seat misses the play, both Sky and TNT so no fixture goes missing, sound on the match that matters, and a crowd that turns a goal into a roar. The city centre holds the loudest rooms, an easy walk between them on a busy Saturday. These eight get the game right, whether you came for Leeds United, the Premier League, the rugby, or a Champions League midweek.
These rooms lead on screen count and channel access, so a Premier League fixture and a Champions League tie can run side by side without leaving your seat.
How we picked
We rank Leeds sports bars on screen count and sightlines, whether a room carries both Sky and TNT, sound policy, which competitions each room reliably shows, and the crowd. We checked every bar here against its own current listing and at least one independent source, including Leeds-List, DesignMyNight and All Right Leeds. For the wider picture, see our pillar guide to the best bars for watching the game, our ranking of the best cities for sports bars, and the Leeds sports bar hub.

BOX in the city centre runs 35 HD screens showing Sky, TNT and Box Office events, the biggest screen count in the city. The Brotherhood carries dozens of 4K screens, and both can run several fixtures at once with sound on the headline match.
The Griffin, Aire Bar and Head of Steam on Park Row all keep Sky and TNT on through the weekend. The Griffin adds a large projector screen by the bar, which makes it a strong call for a marquee Premier League fixture.
The city-centre rooms fill for a Leeds United away day. BOX, The Brotherhood and The Griffin all carry the match with a partisan home crowd, so arrive before kickoff for a seat on a big fixture.
Aire Bar runs Sky and TNT at the same time for the Champions and Europa League, and also shows the rugby and cricket. BOX and The Brotherhood both carry the midweek European nights and the rugby weekends across their screens.
James covers pubs and sports bars across the north of England. He ranks game-day rooms on screen count, whether they carry both Sky and TNT, and how a room handles a clashing Premier League and rugby weekend.
