Moods sits in the Schiffbau in Zurich-West and programs around 230 shows a year, jazz at the core but reaching into funk, soul and electronic. The Europe Jazz Network counts it among the continent's serious rooms. The sound is the point and the bar serves it. Book ahead for name bookings. Best on a night the bill lists a headliner, not a jam.

Early evening runs to lake-view drinks; concerts and DJ sets start at 10pm, vinyl-led, from Italo disco to Chicago house. Two floors, lounges above. Come for the late turn, not the cocktail. Best when the bill lists a live act over a club set.

The Aktionshalle and Clubraum book hard across genres, with Apparat, Black Sea Dahu and Sunn O))) all on the 2026 calendar. It is a cultural center first and a bar second. Check the listing before the tram out. Best for a booked gig with a beer, not a drop-in.
