Singapore's Best Live Music Bars 2026: Jazz, Indie and Blues

Singapore's best live music bars for 2026, led by Crazy Elephant and Hood Bar. Where to catch blues, jazz and indie sets, plus set times and cover charges.

The short answer

Our editors' №1 is Crazy Elephant.

3 ranked rooms follow. How we picked is at the end of this guide.

Best overallCrazy Elephant

Singapore packs a lot of live music into a small island, but most bars that advertise it deliver a backing track and little else. We checked the listings, dropped the venues that have closed or were never bars to begin with, and kept the rooms where the playing is the whole point. Three of them clear that bar in 2026.

The scene splits by neighbourhood. Clarke Quay and Boat Quay run louder and more tourist-friendly along the river, Tanjong Pagar and Keong Saik lean cocktail-led and later, and the Kampong Glam and Haji Lane stretch is the independent, earlier-closing corner. For the wider picture, the Singapore bar guide covers every category in depth.

The best live music bars in Singapore, ranked

Editor's №1

Crazy Elephant

Crazy Elephant is the one Singapore live music room that never bothered to clean itself up, and it is the better for it. Tucked into Clarke Quay with graffiti walls and a riverside terrace, it has run resident blues and rock bands for over twenty years, kicking off around 10pm nightly. Order a beer, take a table over the water, and let the house band do the work. Tom's first pick in the city.

Hood Bar & Café

Hood Bar and Cafe puts a local singer-songwriter on the stage of its fifth-floor Bugis+ room every night of the week. The bill swings from soft rock to bossa nova to jazz, so no two evenings sound the same. Doors open at 3pm and the music runs late, past midnight most nights. Best for a midweek pint with an act you have not heard of, in a room that actually listens.

Canvas Singapore

Canvas sits below The Riverwalk between Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, an art gallery by day that turns into a music club after dark. The programme leans electronic and DJ-led, with live sets threaded through the week, and it runs to 4am on Saturdays. It is the dressed-up, after-midnight end of this short list. Best for a late one once the bands have packed up elsewhere.
