Most concerts start at 21:00, and the Summertime season packs the garden from June through August. The 2026 program marks the Miles Davis centenary. Come early to walk the grounds before an outdoor summer set.
Big Mama calls itself the home of the blues in Rome, a small basement on Vicolo San Francesco a Ripa in Trastevere going since 1984. The bill leans blues, soul, funk and rock from cover bands and touring acts, with music from around 21:00 until 01:30. Tables are tight, so book ahead and arrive early. Best late on a weekend when the band settles in.

Largo Venue is a mid-size club near Termini that books the busy middle of Italian music, from hip-hop and indie pop to punk and rock, with more than 20 shows on the 2026 calendar. The room is plain and the focus stays on the stage and the floor. Check the listing before you go, since the genre swings hard night to night. Best for a named act you already want to see.
Villaggio Globale lives inside Rome's former slaughterhouse on Lungotevere Testaccio, a centro sociale running since the early 1990s. The occupied complex hosts concerts, club nights and political events under murals and street art, with prices kept deliberately low. Expect reggae, punk, dub and electronica over polish. Come for the rough edges and the cause, and check the schedule first since nights vary.
Crash sits in the Trieste district as a wine bar and bistro that turns into a jazz room on weekends.
